Waldringfield Sailing Club Sailing School is an RYA recognised teaching establishment run by the club as service to its members and to encourage those who do not sail to do so. It also contributes to the club’s responsibility to increase participation in the sport of sailing to the wider public, particularly children and young people.

The school has a fleet of 3 “Hartley”  Wayfarers and 2 “Hartley 15” dinghies in which to teach courses and is able to hire in additional boats for bigger courses.

RYA Sailing & Powerboat Courses – What are they?

The RYA is universally known as providing the best method for teaching sailing. The teaching method was developed over 40 years ago by Bob Bond and has been refined constantly to keep it up to date.
The WSC Sailing School is recognized and certificated by the RYA to run the courses set out below and is inspected every year to ensure it maintains the approved standard of teaching.
All our instructors are fully trained and hold the proper qualifications. They are supervised by the Senior Instructor who holds a higher qualification and ensures that the teaching is properly organized.
The whole operation is led by the Principal who ensures that all the elements of teaching, Safety, administration and finance are all woven together to form a well run centre.
