Social Sailing for Adults

Social Sailing for adults in 2017

Adult social sailing will run on Saturday mornings from 9.30am until about midday. It’s an opportunity for adults to develop their sailing skills and gain the confidence to start racing should they want to. Participants can bring their own dinghy or use one of the Club boats (we have Hartley Wayfarers and a brand new Hartley 15). Each session will be run by experienced volunteers available to provide advice if you need it and – if you want – to take you for a sail. Safety cover will be provided too. There are ten sessions on Saturday mornings between May and September … the dates are in the Club’s 2017 Programme. The galley will be open for coffee and tea. There is no cost. Sailors must bring suitable clothing, footwear and a buoyancy aid. Open to non-members. The sessions will go ahead whatever the weather, though they might be shorter if the weather’s inclement. Oriel O’Loughlin is organising and she can be contacted at o.laws@btopenworld.com.
