Collisions in the Waldringfield moorings
Whilst Waldringfield Sailing Club is keen to help prevent any contact between boats underway on the water and moored boats, we do have a process in place should an accident occur.
If you either witness a collision or are involved in one yourself then please observe the following.
If you are able to come ashore at Waldringfield
We simply ask that you complete an Incident Report form so we have a record of the incident and can help put the owner of the other boat(s) in contact with yourself and each other.
Incident forms can be found either in a wooden wall-mounted box on the outside of the Waldringfield Sailing Club, or if the clubhouse is open, in a folder located near the bar.
If you are passing though to another destination
Please complete our incident form (which you can download from the links below) and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org
Or as a minimum, please email email@example.com giving the following information;
- Your name, boat and contact details
- Names or descriptions of the other boat(s) involved
- A description of the incident including its approximate location.
- Please let us know if you are able to contact the other party(ies) yourself?
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Club members should also follow the above procedure, and racing sailors are reminded that Rule 20 of our club sailing instructions reiterates the above.
